Here’s your chance! The Long Beach International Film Festival and Madison Theatre have teamed up with Long Island Pulse Magazine and News 12 Long Island to bring you the hottest Academy Awards Party on Long Island.
Our Red Carpet event on February 28 will host celebrities, media, filmmakers, and movie lovers…all for a good cause. This year we are raising funds for a student to attend the Madison Theatre Summer Film Intensive, with a scholarship being established in the name of Rocky’s own Burt Young. Mr Young will be honored that evening as well, for his dedication and life as a filmmaker and arts lover. He will also have pieces of his collection on display.

Long Beach Schools along with the surrounding districts have the opportunity to participate in our 5th Annual “Do A Good Deed”.
Long Beach Film Institute, the non-profit arm of the LBIFF, gives back to the community by orchestrating the “Do A Good Deed Contest” open to students from 6th-12th grade. It encourages kindness, and the art of giving back, while using the creativity of video or photography. This scholarship will be given to a student who either posts a picture or 15 second video on Instagram doing something kind for someone else. They must like the @LBIFFNY page, and tag #LBIFFGD16. They should also be able to attend Sunday Nights Festivities.
The Long Beach International Film Festival is a 501c3 and is completely run by volunteers. Please help support us by bringing local restaurants and movie lovers together to celebrate film and keep the arts alive on the South Shore of Long Island!
Schedule of Events
5:30-7:30PM: Experience Taste of The Oscars with local and regional restaurants, wineries and cocktail vendors. The Red Carpet will be open. Would you like to be pampered? Relax in our “Red Door Spa Primping Station”. Kravit Jewelers Celebrity Designer Idayne Kaye will also be on hand to try out some incredible red carpet bling. Ms.Kaye creates red carpet pieces for Joan Jett, Cameron Diaz, Miley Cyrus and many more! Celebrity Chef Jonathan Scinto from Master Chef will be tasting, along with Junior Master Chef contestant AJ Espinosa. Donna Drake from CBS Live it up live will be interviewing on the Red Carpet and Laura Siegel from Creative Entertainment Connections will also be on hand.
Restaurants Include: Cannon Blackthorns, Taste of Greece, Viaggio, Chadwicks, Mesita, Salsa Mexicana, Sangre-DeUva, Bonefish Grill and Tony Columbos
Cocktails will be provided by One With Life Tequila, Sento Bene Wines, Riviera Imports, MYX Fusion, Murph’s Bloody Mary Mix, Vindagra Wines and Coastal Craft Kombucha.
If you have a sweet tooth you’re in luck!
Dessert samples will be passed out by Front Street Bakery, Garden City Hotel, Pammy Cake Creations, Poppy’s Bake Shop and Celebrity Cake Designer Samantha Brooks from SamiCakes Boutique. Samantha has designed cakes for JLO and many other high profile celebs will be presenting a special creation on stage for Mr. Young.
At this time you will also have the opportunity to purchase ballot cards to bet on your favorite celebs and stars for the walk of fame. Raffle prizes include staycations at Long Island hotels, spa packages, and dinner at your favorite local restaurants.

VIP Admission $100.00 ticket will have you and your guests on the stage at Madison Theatre lounging on couches, sipping champagne, playing movie trivia and tasting scrumptious desserts all while the Oscars are in view on a 30 foot movie screen.

They have held events for students at The Long Beach Recreation Center, with movie nights and ice skating, encouraging kids to stay safe and gather as a community.
LBFI holds “Shorts On The Beach” every summer, along the breathtaking Atlantic Ocean in Long Beach NY. A movie theatre is re-created on the beach where independent and studio short films are screened for FREE public viewing. This brings together people of all ages and keeps Arts Alive on the South Shore of LI. LBFI also assisted the Long Beach Hight School with creating their first film festival, and incorporates film students from colleges and his schools all over LI in their internship program. There is also a yearly scholarship awarded to an underprivileged student to attend Madison Theatre Summer Film Camp.
