Hicksville, NY — Seasoned actress Kimberly Amato is shining a brighter light on her writing prowess with her new book titled, Steele Resolve—the first book of the Steele Series. Steel Resolve reveals the story of its main character Jasmine Steele, and her daily struggles as she searches to find the killer who wronged her. For the multi-talented Amato, it seems her creative capacity continues to grow in all aspects of her career, so you won’t want to miss her Thursday, June 4th, 7pm at Book Revue, 313 New York Ave, Huntington, (631) 271-1442.
A Hicksville native, Amato began her ambitious journey at Hofstra University- studying Psychology by day and acting in small theatre productions on her off-time for extra work. A dedicated student, she graduated with her BA and went on to further her education at John Jay College of Criminal Justice with a MA in Forensic Psychology.
Both degrees would go on to help her in auditions as her understanding of the human mind grew. As she recently put it; “I used my education to break the character down. It helps a lot”.
Under the guidance of an acting coach, Amato would continue to hone her skills- leading to an award-winning performance as “Raven” in the 2007 Thriller Under The Ravens Wing. But Kimberly hasn’t stopped there- most recently she can be seen in the I.D. Networks “Investigation Discovery” as well as several independent films and her new show “The Nic & Kimmie Show” airing on YouTube.
Behind the scenes however, Amato has also sharpened her talents through Filmmaking. Having earned two “Excellence In Filmmaking for a Comedy TV Pilot” Awards for 2009’s Party Girl, she has continually been able to sharpen her skills both behind and in front of the camera- constantly coming up with new ideas for TV shows, Films, and Web Series’.
After honing her craft as an actress, performer, and filmmaker, its no wonder Steel Resolve became her next venture into the role of author. With the novel set to be only one of a series, it seems there’s no limit to what Amato can accomplish. In her own words: “I will never stop learning, honing my skills or fighting for what I love to do. We are not meant to be average, we are meant to be excellent in our own way. The bigger question is – Are you willing to fight to be great or are you content to be average?”
Don’t miss your chance to meet the Author and get your own personal signed copy of Steel Resolve on Thursday, June 4th, 7pm at Book Revue, 313 New York Ave, Huntington, (631) 271-1442.
